Hyundai and Kia are recalling nearly 3.4 million vehicles over fire risk concerns and are urging owners to park them outdoors. The recall encompasses various car and SUV models produced between 2010 and 2019, including Hyundai’s Santa Fe SUV and Kia’s Sorrento SUV. According to documents released by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue stems from a potential fluid leak in the anti-lock brake control module, leading to electrical shorts that could result in fires, whether the vehicles are stationary or in operation. Owners are being advised to park their vehicles outdoors and away from structures until the necessary repairs are completed.

Owners can go to www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and key in their 17-digit vehicle identification number to see if their vehicle is affected.

Tesla launches subscription service for advanced driver assistance software

Tesla has previously said its subscription service would generate recurring revenue and expand the customer base for pricy features including lane changing on highways and parking assistance.

Tesla said the subscription service is available in vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving computer 3.0 or above. It told customers that upgrading to the new hardware will cost $1,500. Check out their Monthly plans here.
